Solutions from a Pharmacy you Trust

Safer

Goodbye to “off market” injections from med spas. Goodbye to self-injections.

If you’re not using brand name Wegovy, Ozempic, or Rybelsus your injections are not regulated and may not be safe.

The only semaglutide we use is Rybelsus, which is FDA approved.

More Effective

Rybelsus semaglutide tablets, are 80% less effective than semaglutide injections, in their standard form.

By compounding the Rybelsus into a mucoadhesive film, the drugs bypass your digestive system, making the medication significantly more effective.

Always Available

Have you been struggling to get your GLP-1 prescriptions filled at any pharmacy near you?

Welcome to the club.

Matt’s Local Pharmacy uses Rybelsus to formulate the semaglutide films, which is readily available for you each month.

What is a Semaglutide Film?

You’ve heard of Wegovy and Ozempic, the weight loss injections that are taking the world by storm. What you may have missed is that they have a sister drug named Rybelsus.

All 3 medications are the same brand and same ingredient (semaglutide)- except Rybelsus is an oral tablet rather than an injection.

It may sound better, but an oral tablet is less effective as the medications goes through your digestive system and gets broken down.

Matt’s Local Pharmacy takes FDA approved Rybelsus tablets, and turns them into a mucoadhesive film. Think of it like a Listerine strip dissolving on the inside of your cheek, bypassing your digestive system and maintaining an effective dose without the need for an injection.

Frequently

Asked Questions

How can I get a prescription?

Macrae Medical is a full service primary care practice in Middletown, RI that is currently accepting new patients into their weight loss program at this time. Feel free to call their office and schedule an appointment to see if this medication is right for you!

How can I learn more before I make a decision?

We are providing a free 30 minute webinar filled with information about this product that we highly recommend you watch. We go over what a GLP-1 is, how semaglutide works, who the medication is for, side effects, alternative options, what to expect while taking it, instructions, and more. You can register here for the webinar, or call the pharmacy for any further questions.

Do you accept insurance? What is the cost?

This medication unfortunately is not accepted by insurance. The cost is $399 per month even as your dose continues to be increased.

Why does it seem so expensive?

The average cost of brand name semaglutide is a shocking $1,100 per month. If you are getting the “off-market”, unregulated semaglutide injections, the average cost is between $500-650 per month, depending on the dose.

Though all semaglutide is expensive and demand is high, one of the biggest benefits of us creating this product for you was to be able to offer a cheaper, safer, and more readily available option. The reality is, if your out-of-pocket cost for an injection is low from a med-spa or online provider, you should be concerned about the quality and trustworthiness of the product you are injecting.
